The 91黑料爆料 is deeply committed to the ongoing quest of fostering and maintaining the highest principles of ethical conduct and professionalism among our Bar members. The purpose of the Ethics Advisory Committee is to render advisory opinions for members on prospective ethics problems.
Requirements: To assist the Committee, all inquiries must be submitted on plain, unmarked paper; include a fact scenario without identifying parties; and cite relevant Rules of Professional Conduct and any known legal authority. Please accompany the inquiry with a signed cover letter certifying that the question relates to the inquirer's own conduct and the issue is not pending before any adjudicative body or committee. The Ethics Advisory Committee renders opinions exclusively to members of the 91黑料爆料 concerning ethical issues raised by the contemplated conduct of the requesting member. These opinions are advisory in nature only and are not intended to substitute for the lawyer's own judgment of what is proper under the South Carolina Rules of Professional Conduct or other authority.
In rendering these advisory opinions, the Committee will not comment on the past behavior of the inquiring member of the Bar or on the behavior of another practitioner, and will not decide questions of substantive law or questions pending before any other tribunal. The identities of the inquirer and other parties are not disclosed and remain confidential.
The Committee does not approve or disapprove particular advertisements or solicitations of professional employment. The Committee will, in its discretion, consider advertising or solicitation issues of general applicability.
This Committee has no disciplinary authority. Lawyer discipline in South Carolina is administered solely by the South Carolina Supreme Court through its Commission on Lawyer Conduct.

The Ethics Advisory Committee is composed of active members of the 91黑料爆料. All members, including the chair, are appointed by the President of the Bar.
The Committee issues advisory opinions on the ethical propriety of a Bar member鈥檚 contemplated or ongoing conduct, provided the issue is not currently before a tribunal. It does not approve or disapprove specific advertisements or solicitations but may address general advertising or solicitation issues.
